Si Yuan gives birth to a cub @ Chengdu Panda Base

Si Yuan gave birth to a male cub at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding on August 19, 2012.

Si Yuan was born on October 22, 2004. Her father is Shi Shi and her mother is Qi Yuan. She is famous for her white paw.

In the afternoon of March 27, Si Yuan naturally mate with Yong Yong. On July 25, she decreased her food consumption and being lethargic. This state lasts for about 25 days. Her water broke at 7:40 pm on August 18 and she delivered a cub at 5:03 am next day. The male cub weighs 181 grams. Through examination, the cub and the mother are in good condition.
