Billy Misses Something Terribly
Xi Lan the Centerfold - March 2010
We know!
What? Where? What is it we know??
Still asleep, eh? We found out why Billy cries at night.
Ah, yeeees. [Yaaawn]…I am knackered. The last two milk….um, no…beds we went to at night and tried to go Billy…to…lake…
Max, what on earth are you talking about? Off with you, go to bed and let me do this. You're mixing everything up.
You're welcome…I mean, thank you.
I'm super tired, too, but I'm just so excited to tell you the news. What Max was trying to tell you is that we have spent the last two nights at the lake. Poor Billy is actually crying all the time. It's heartbreaking! We didn't really know how to calm him down. Billy didn't want his huge bottle of milk, so he can't have been hungry. But what was his problem then? Max had a great idea. We read your comments and then painted pictures that we held up in front of Billy. We wanted to see if he'd react to anything.
First we showed him his bottle – no reaction. Then a picture of the sea – no reaction. Then a tooth (maybe he'd had his first tooth and was in pain?). But Billy didn't react to that, either. The next picture was different, though. We showed Billy a fully grown whale. And indeed! Billy stopped crying for a few seconds and even laughed for a moment. That's when we knew: Billy is missing his whale mother terribly!! It must be awful for a baby to be separated from his mother that long.
We have to help Billy find his whale mother. But how? We don't even know where she is. She is probably desperately trying to find her Billy. Do you maybe know how we can find her? Tell us what you think!
Paws up for Panfu,
Ella (and sleeping Max)
