Zoo Atlanta celebrates Po the giant panda’s 2nd birthday
ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA/AP) -Po, the giant panda cub at Zoo Atlanta, celebrated his second birthday Saturday afternoon.
Zookeepers planned a number of treats for the not-so-little guy. On the menu was bamboo and an ice cake.
Po's mother, Lun Lun, gave birth to the tiny, furless cub in the early morning of Nov. 3, 2010. Po now weighs more than 100 pounds, and he's covered with black and white fur in the characteristic panda patterns.
The celebration was held at the Arthur M. Blank Foundation Giant Panda Conservation Center. Po and Lun Lun had several treats to check out including enriching scents and snacks the youngster could enjoy or destroy.
